đ The Point Isnât to Get a Job â Itâs to Build a Life That Gets You Jobs
Discover how clarity, purpose, and timing help you build a sustainable careerâand a life that keeps opening doors, not just one job.
Thereâs a tension that becomes undeniable. You can feel it in your chest, your calendar, your bank account.
Youâre frustrated, emotionally tense, maybe even burnt out.
You know you need a change â you just donât know what kind. You want clarity. You want direction.
But more than that, you want to understand whatâs keeping you stuck so you can finally move differently this time.
And thatâs the real work â not just getting a job. Itâs building a life that keeps getting you jobs. Not out of panic or desperation, but from alignment, from comprehension, from trust in your own timing.
𧩠Purpose â the Real Point
When I say âPurpose,â Iâm not talking about the big, shiny vision-board version. Iâm talking about what this season of your life is asking of you right now.
Maybe youâre in debt, and your purpose is stability.
Maybe youâre burnt out, and your purpose is recovery.
Maybe youâre clear and ready, and your purpose is expansion.
Your purpose shifts with your season. Thatâs normal. Thatâs human.
The mistake is believing the point of purpose is control, when itâs actually comprehension.
Comprehension is grasping whatâs really happening within you before chasing it outside of you.
Thatâs what Damon Brown meant when he said in Build From Now:
âYour purpose isnât to make things happen. Your purpose is to recognize the best timing to create. Part of that timing is based on how you create in the first place.â
Purpose isnât about forcing outcomes â itâs about recognizing alignment and respecting timing.
đȘ Comprehension Before Control
So, what havenât you fully grasped about yourself? What part of you are you trying to fix with the next job, the next raise, the next external âwinâ?
Because yes, money matters â deeply.
We all need to live, eat, and exist. But when we start measuring all our fulfillment through our income, we unknowingly trade away meaning.
If we never address the roots â the emotional, mental, or spiritual drivers â the same emptiness reappears no matter how much we make or achieve.
You can value money and still prioritize yourself. You can pursue prosperity without abandoning purpose.
âïž Timing, Tradeoffs, and Trust
Back in 2018, I took a pay cut on purpose.
At the time, I was wrestling with whether Iâd made a wrong turn getting my English degree. Iâd always loved health and the mind-body connection, so I wondered: Should I have gone into nutrition? Maybe physical therapy?
Instead of going back to school, I took a full-time front-desk job at a physical therapy clinic. Less pay, more clarity. It was my self-designed internship in alignment.
I watched what PTs did every day for six months, and I learned what I needed to learn â that it wasnât for me.
That single experiment saved me years of guessing and debt.
It was possible because of timing: I wasnât married yet, didnât have dogs, and had fewer financial responsibilities. But if I hadnât made that move when I did, it would have been harder now, seven years later.
Thatâs what I mean when I talk about Purpose â Presence â Prosperity.
Purpose: Whatâs true for me right now?
Presence: Whatâs the reality of my season and resources?
Prosperity: What choice gets me closer to feeling fulfilled â not just surviving?
That framework lets me make peace with timing. It reminds me that being intentional doesnât mean being in control â it means being in rhythm.
Whatâs one system story youâve been told that doesnât serve you anymore? Write it down.
Thatâs where your next rewrite begins.
đĄ The Job Isnât the Goal
If what you need right now is income, thatâs valid. There are plenty of jobs â I see the âNow Hiringâ signs at Chipotle when I grab lunch with my husband.
The brochure says crew members can make $46,000 a year with benefits. A service leader? $54,000. General manager? $93,000.
Those numbers arenât the point â theyâre proof that options exist.
But if youâre here, youâre probably not looking for just options.
Youâre looking for direction. Youâre asking, Whatâs the right next thing for me?
Because you donât just want work â you want alignment. You want to stop trading your peace for your paycheck. You want to build a life that allows you to move freely between roles, projects, and opportunities without losing yourself in the process.
And that requires a framework. It requires self-trust. It requires comprehension.
đ± Inside The Clarity Studio
Thatâs exactly why I built The Clarity Studio â a membership space for your becoming and unbecoming.
Itâs where we slow down enough to actually understand the patterns underneath our decisions â the cycles of burnout, indecision, over-functioning, over-giving â and start to make choices that serve us sustainably.
Itâs a space for your messiness and your mastery. For questions, frameworks, timing, and the hard truths.
Youâll find workshops, live Q&As, tangible career tools, and a community that gets it. Not because weâre all in the same place, but because weâre all asking the same thing:
How do I make this next chapter feel like mine?
$50/month. Come when you need it. Leave when you need space. Return when the next pivot calls.
Because clarity isnât a one-time event â itâs a lifelong practice.
And the goal was never just to get a job.
Itâs to build a life that keeps getting you closer to yourself.
