Clarity on the (career) Cliff
Beneath the Surface: A Framework for Finding Your Next Step
Most people start their career stories from the outside in — what they do, who they work for, what’s on the resume.
I’ve learned to start from the opposite end: beneath the surface.
Because what we do only matters if it’s built on what makes us tick — what motivates us, what pulls us, what we value, what we refuse to tolerate anymore.
That’s where clarity lives.
And clarity is where everything begins.
Without it, we’re just guessing.
Guessing what job to take, what client to chase, what dream to follow. Guessing who we even are.
Step 1: Purpose — Getting Clear on What’s Underneath
So many of us try to move forward before we’ve asked the deeper questions:
What do I actually want?
Why do I want it?
What am I trying to prove, and to whom?
Clarity isn’t always about knowing the final answer — it’s about knowing enough to take the next honest step.
If you don’t know what you want, start with what you don’t.
Dislike, discomfort, and disillusionment are teachers too.
When we get clear on what holds us back — old expectations, internalized “shoulds,” outdated definitions of success — we start to see our real patterns. Our purpose doesn’t appear out of thin air. It’s excavated.
That excavation becomes your compass. 🧭🧭
Step 2: Presence — The Only Thing You Can Control
Once you have a sense of your compass, it’s all about how you show up — for yourself, your work, your world.
This is presence.
Presence is the way you carry your story and shape your narrative — internally and externally.
Internally: how you speak to yourself, what you believe about your worth, and how you make decisions.
Externally: how you show up online, on LinkedIn, through your portfolio, website, resume, or the small moments that define how people experience you.
Presence is your energy translated into form.
It’s not about perfection — it’s about alignment.
When your internal compass (purpose) and your external expression (presence) match, you become magnetic.
Opportunities find you because your signal is clear. 🕯️🕯️
Step 3: Prosperity — The Byproduct of Alignment
This isn’t a hustle formula. It’s not “manifest and wait.”
It’s alignment in action.
When your inner world (purpose) and outer world (presence) support each other, prosperity follows naturally — in the form of clarity, confidence, community, and yes, sometimes cash.
Prosperity isn’t just about money.
It’s about flow — the sense that your work feeds you instead of draining you.
And no, it’s not instant. This framework is a practice — one that took me over a decade to learn.
The Inside the Shift Method: Purpose → Presence → Prosperity
This is the framework I use in my 1:1 sessions, my writing, and my own life.
I can’t guarantee you’ll get every outcome you dream of.
What I can guarantee is clarity — and that clarity will give you your next step, and the one after that.
If you’re in a moment of transition — or just feeling that restless something’s got to shift energy — start here.
My Story (and Why This Works)
I’ve never been the kind of person who mapped out a five-year plan.
I’ve never belonged to one company, one industry, or one box.
From the beginning, I knew whatever I did had to be on my terms — to fund my life, pay off debt, grow my skills, and build freedom into the structure.
Over the last decade, that instinct became a system.
A way of working — and living — that turned me from pursuer to magnet.
I’ve built a presence that attracts agencies, recruiters, and opportunities without chasing them.
Not by gaming algorithms or burning out on hustle culture — but by mastering clarity, resilience, and grounded visibility.
Because when you know who you are, you stop chasing and start being found.
🌊 I help you get clear on the cliff.
You know that feeling — standing at the edge of the unknown, looking down at what could be?
That moment when you ask yourself:
“Do I stay in the job? Do I leap into freelancing? Is it time to build something of my own?”
That’s where I meet you.
Together, we find your clarity on the cliff.
We name what’s true, prepare what’s next, and help you take the small, brave step forward — whether that means becoming a consultant, business owner, or independent worker on your own terms.
Because learning to fly is scary — but it’s also how you finally meet the version of yourself you’ve been becoming all along.
I didn’t design this formula in a classroom or a corporate boardroom. I built it by living through every possible version of work I could find.
I started as a technical writer right out of college — great salary, great title, terrible fit.
The money was there, but my energy wasn’t. I could do it, but I didn’t want to do it.
So I job-hopped, freelanced, contracted, and eventually started consulting. Over time, I realized that what I wanted most wasn’t a single job or title — it was freedom: creative, financial, spiritual.
And once I learned to align my inner compass with my outer presence, everything began to fall into place.
Recruiters came to me. Clients found me.
I stopped chasing — and started choosing.
Now, I teach others how to do the same.
